I undertake general opthalmology and medical retinal outpatient clinics as well as laser and cataract operating lists.

I qualified from Southampton University in 1994. I completed basic ophthalmic training in the South West Thames region before returning to Wessex to complete my specialist training. I was appointed to the post of Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital in October 2004.

I gained particular experience of the management of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy while at Southampton Eye Unit, including the use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and the new anti-VEGF drugs which are offering hope of visual improvement for patients with previously untreatable macular degeneration.
